already/not yet, eco-injustice and antinomianism

One of the most radical changes for me over the past few years has been to truly understand what Scripture means by “redemption.” When we hear the term redemption, we usually think in terms of our salvation: that because we “asked Jesus into our heart” we will someday be in heaven. Redemption, then, becomes a privatized, spiritualized reality. To view redemption in solely these terms, I think, is not unlike viewing a 3-D film without wearing the appropriate 3-D glasses.
